Commonwealth Wine Tasting

Notes from a wine tasting challenge evening themed on the Commonwealth. Six wines, three red and three white, including wines from India, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and England. The seven folks at the tasting were furnished with the notes and a range of prices covering the seven wines – the prices ranged from £5.49 to £13.99.

Some facts about the Commonwealth.

FIFTY SIX independent countries make up the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Pacific.

THIRTY THREE of the world’s 42 small states are Commonwealth members, each with a population of 1.5 million or less.

TWO AND A HALF BILLION citizens live in Commonwealth countries, with more than 60 per cent aged 29.
